Deokhwajang

41 Dongho-ro 24-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul

Since 1970

Deokhwajang has been serving Korean-Chinese food in Jangchung-dong’s eating alley since 1970. For more than fifty years it has been the regular Chinese restaurant for Dongguk University students and nearby office workers, known for big portions at fair prices. Alumni especially remember its yuni-jjajang, black bean noodles made with finely minced pork. The restaurant still looks and feels like a classic neighborhood Chinese place, without decoration or trends.
